The concert consisted of a mixture of Madrigals, Part-songs, Spirituals,
Anthems and lighter items. There was also Tower Bellringing and Handbell
Ringing.
The collection was in aid of the Churches Conservation Trust.
This event took place to mark the 40th Birthday of the Churches Conservation
Trust, the national charity that takes care of England's finest historic
churches no longer required for regular worship such as St Bartholomews. Forty
choirs performed in 40 churches cared for by the Trust, enabling visitors to
experience these ancient spaces and discover how they can be used.

Twinning Concert

Once again the Cameo Singers was pleased to host the choirs from Wokingham's twin towns of Erftstadt in Germany, the Chorgemeinschaft 1919, and Viry Chatillon, SW of Paris, the Viry Chorales. Each choir performed a range of national and international music, and the concert culminated in a joint performance of the Fauré Requiem. Also performing, the Cameo Consort with their unique combination of instruments and voices.
